"I was fortunate to be offered a session with John recently, as a professional courtesy, to experience Ultra Height Hypnosis. As a fellow Hypnotist, this was a wonderful opportunity for me and I was thrilled that John was willing to share his expertise. John’s manner, voice and mastery of the technique were fabulous! I was able to experience something that was truly transforming and because of our shared profession, I know it was not only my willingness to be open to new things that made it so incredible but because of the trust I felt in John’s ability and his gentle, easy style.
I would not hesitate for a second to recommend John as an accomplished Hypnotherapist. In fact, he will have my referrals whenever possible."

"I did not want to mention it during our session but, when the rehab counsellor I was seeing told me she could not get me into the treatment center I was SO disappointed and afraid that for the first time ever I considered suicide as an option. The anxiety attacks were SO overwhelming I did not think I could continue in that downward spiral for another six weeks (the time it would take to get into treatment). The fear of what I might do to myself (in keeping with my usual path of self-destruction) made me take action. That action resulted in my visit to you.
Since then I am astounded by the change in my life. I have a lot of time on my hands now and with the clearer mind I utilize that time to focus on future plans. I am considering returning to university and completing my degree as for the first time in years I can actually focus!
I am no longer anxiety ridden, angry, resentful and suspicious. My attitude about my relationship has lightened up and if my partner and I will stay together is no longer a pressing matter in my life - if it happens it happens, if not..... I am still alive, kicking and capable. Other good things will come. Potential is a word that comes to my mind when I think of my future. The potential for so much has opened up.
Thank you for being there for me John. The work you do must bring you lots of joy. I know that I really enjoyed the experience as you took time to make me understand its direction. I really like that you replaced the cravings with positive imagery and recollection of why I came to earth (to dance). Did I mention to you that in my culture 'to dance' is not just to move ones body but to pray and heal? I meditate on those points and try to find deeper clues to my existence.
Thank you and Bless you.... I will carry this experience with me and will probably be in touch with you down the road to do more work but for now I am just still in awe of this experience and the peace it has brought to my life."

" As long as I can remember I've been an overachiever and a perfectionist. While these traits got me into an Ivy League university and allowed me to advance professionally, there was always this voice telling me I wasn't good enough, that I didn't deserve to be loved, I was clumsy, fat, stupid, inept…you name the negative thought and I had told it to myself at some point, if not every single day. Those negative thoughts led to constant anxiety, hair-pulling, alcohol addiction and overeating from a very young age. I was on a path of self-hatred and self-abuse and the outcome was going to be catastrophic. I had been in and out of therapy since college with mixed results. A few months ago, I was ready to appeal to my sub-conscious mind since it was clear that my conscious mind was powerless to save me.
I found John's webpage on the internet and his kind face made me decide to call. John is even kinder in person, as well as generous with his time and with information, and he has a style that will put anyone at ease. You can tell right away that he cares about what he does and about healing you. After a few sessions I am happy to say that the voice that was constantly tearing me down is no longer a part of me. My therapist, who had no knowledge that I had been visiting John, commented immediately on the fact that I appeared more relaxed and at peace. That feeling has remained and my anxiety has slowly faded into the simple ups and downs of daily life. Thank you, John, for your great work and for your caring attention, and for helping me find and release the negative energy I had been holding inside me for over 30 years."

"In the world of competitive triathlons, 90% of a race is a mental war within oneself. John worked closely with me hours before my competition and gave me an amazing edge. I went from the usual pre-event nervousness and anxiety to total calm, anticipation and honed mental acuity. Furthermore, John’s coaching enabled me to create a ‘reset’ point in my mind; when I found myself in a potentially dangerous situation during the swim, I was able to completely relax, refocus, and pull myself through it thanks to his guidance. I feel that my performance in the bike leg, setting a new personal best time, was directly related to John’s guided visualization. John’s an amazing mental coach; his relaxed demeanor and understanding of the nature of the athletic mind instills confidence in the process, and he gave me a huge advantage over the rest of the field heading into the race. I’m looking forward to working closely with John each and every time I prep for an event. He’s become as important a key to my success as the hours logged on a bike or in a pool."

"I was given John’s card through a friend at work, but did not have much knowledge about hypnosis and its life changing transformations. So I thought to myself why not give this a try as I was looking for a completely different approach. From initial contact with John over the phone I thought he was very professional, and kind. His easy going character in person, right away eased any uncertainties I had. After the first session I could tell that something had changed within me. However I was not able to put it into words at first. I now believe it was my perception that changed. A release of deep fears or inhibitions have disappeared almost as if they never existed in the first place. I honestly believe that real and lasting change has to come from the inside first for it to truly stick!"

"John has allowed me to find within myself an all around balance in my life. I have had two sessions which gave me some focus to the way I view life and make some positive changes for myself. It wasn't a "hocus pocus" hypnotic experience but more of a self-analysis with my own subconscious mind. This was far more advanced than anything I could do on my own as the subconscious mind is the "real deal" where nothing is sugar coated. John guided me through using visualization and lateral thinking. Situations from the past raced into my mind and experiences long forgotten about suddenly appeared as if they just happened yesterday. Being able to see things in a new way, I was then able to revisit these scenes and apply the lessons learned into my everyday life.
This has given me both the confidence and calmness that I was looking for. A highly recommended experience! "- Brent F - Vancouver
"With the help of John, I have now achieved a new feeling of freedom in my life through just a single session of hypnosis. John helped me uncover and release a childhood burden that I had been holding on to my entire adult life. I now understand this burden through adult eyes rather than having those same helpless feeling of that small child within holding me back."

"I am a very competitive person and sports are a large part of my character. I was going through a competitive slump recently so went to see John. I thought I had lost my touch, and that the people I was competing against were better than me. I wasn’t even in the game anymore physically. The truth was my mind wasn’t in the game anymore. I was mentally weak. John helped me to change the way I feel about how I approach my sports and my competitive edge, and to bring the fun back into the game! I saw instant results the very next day. My confidence was back and the spark that I was lacking for so long was back times ten stronger. Like many people I thought my game was 10% mental & 90% physical, but in reality it’s really more like 50% each. John is my secret weapon! "- Anonymous
"The mind is a powerful thing.
I’ve been complaining about my lower back pain for several years, and how it’s limited my ability to compete in active sports. I was certain this pain was created by the wear and tear from volleyball, squash and hockey and had tried sports physiotherapy, chiropractors, and strength training but after nothing seemed to work, I started looking for alternative ways to relieve the pain. I’ve always known the mind was a powerful thing but after sitting down with John for just one session, I am amazed at how powerful our own thoughts actually can be. It’s been two days since my first visit and can’t wait for my return to the court. Don’t be intimidated, it’s all in your mind."

"With John’s help, I have learnt that using hypnosis to retrain my subconscious mind can have a powerful impact on my sports performance. When playing competitive squash previously, I was constantly struggling with nervousness and anxiety that was impeding me from playing at the level I knew I could. After working with John I was able to harness the power of my own subconscious mind to stop "thinking" and start "feeling" my way through my perfect game. I also learned a simple method to control the anxiety that was previously preventing me the results that I knew I was able to achieve. The next tournament, the results were amazing!" - Mary Anne Keilty
"Something happened to me as a child, before I really even had any memories, and planted itself into my subconscious. This formed a defense mechanism that manifested itself when a stressful situation presented itself to me almost 30 years later! I didn’t know this at the time and anxiety seemed to come out of nowhere - all of the sudden I had panic attacks walking down a busy street, standing in line at the bank, waiting for a bus, sitting in a coffee house. In all of these situations I felt like I needed to escape. My fight or flight "safety feature" kicked into overload. This went on for about a year, it was very scary. I thought I was stressed (even though I wasn’t particularly) - so I got massage therapy, cut down on my caffeine intake, got some pills from the doctor, bought a bunch of self help books, etc. This cost me a lot of time and money. It was also very frustrating because I continued to suffer from these panic attacks. Seeing John was actually a last resort, which in retrospect should have been the first person I went to had I known then what I know now. One hour later - there were both tears of sadness and joy. Sadness that I had been carrying this burden around with me for 30 years and joy that I have a huge weight off of my shoulders now and have a lot to look forward to in the future. I am still amazed that this was possible in only one session but my soul is deeply relieved. Deep felt thanks to John. "- Anonymous
" I can’t thank John and the Vancouver Self Hypnosis Center enough for helping me finally break my smoking habit!
I have been a smoker most of my life and have tried many times to kick the habit, and have tried all the smoking cessation agents out there, the patch, the gum, the pills, you name it…I've tried it!
I have to say I was a bit skeptical when I first spoke to John about using hypnosis. I was definitely a "hypnosis doubter" and did not really believe that it would work for me but I really wanted to quit for good and needed to try something different. So thought I would give it a shot.
And am I ever glad that I did!
I have been a NON-SMOKER now for over a month and I feel great! The biggest advantage to the hypnosis was that I didn't have any of the withdrawal symptoms that I had experienced when trying to quit in the past. I would recommend hypnosis to anyone who is serious about joining the world of non-smokers!!

"I’ve had neck and back pain for many years and although I understand
that it is partly due to my profession as a hairstylist, I always felt at
some level there were other issues involved. Over the years, I’ve tried just
about everything; acupuncture, a chiropractor and physiotherapist. They were
all great but only seemed to ease the pain temporarily. I have always kept
an open mind to try anything new that may improve my health. I didn’t know
much about hypnotism until I met John Malone. With his warmth, trust and
spiritual nature, after 3 sessions my chronic pain has eased off tremendously.
It was a wonderful experience; I highly recommend the experience."

"Over the past year, I have been on a conscious path of self-actualization. I am very aware of my life events and the path it took and why it did due to my "programming" I was frustrated and down right fed-up with the incongruency of my current peripheral world and my "internal world" aka my subconcious. The harder I tried to change things in my conscious world, the more my subconcious pulled back and was determnded to keep my thoughts where they used to be. With that in mind, I went to see John. With his help, I allowed myself to shift my mind in the direction it needs to be in. My old programming no longer serves me. I am now aware and fully conscious of that. I am in control of the way my story plays out.... not my "past". This feels like a new begining. - Thank you John."
